First question: How important is it to know your identity for daily living?

It’s absolutely imperative that you know your identity in Christ before you are able to give others a clear understanding and assurance of their identity. You have been Forgiven (Eph. 1:7); Crucified (Gal. 2:20; Rom. 6:6); Buried (Rom. 6:4); Raised Up (Rom. 6:5); Seated (Eph. 2:6); Hidden in God (Col. 3:3-4).

You are Christ’s beloved, redeemed, child of God—this is who you are!
